Nigeria on Thursday launched a new initiative to coordinate efforts to combat the surge of diabetes in the country.
Health minister Onyebuchi Chukwu said the Stop Diabetes Initiative Nigeria will “halt the increasing prevalence of diabetes” in the country and implement action for prevention and control states in line with guidelines for dealing with noncommunicable diseases.
