Sports Nigeria needs a veteran's Judo Championship - Osiwoga

Judo coach Kayode Osiwoga believes that a tournament for veterans would go a long way in improving the sport in Nigeria.

Speaking to The Punch Newspaper Osiwoga said that such competitions for the older ones would go along away in mentoring the younger ones.

“There are many talented judokas in this country. If there is a competition for the veterans, they will be motivated to do more for judo in Nigeria.

“Judo is a good sport that teaches endurance and good sportsmanship, so, we veterans should work towards a championship for ourselves.”

Osiwoga was one of the coaches Nigeria took to the International Judo Federation Veterans World Championships in Malaga, Spain.

And he is now canvassing for such to be replicated in Nigeria.
