The Nigerian senate has read the Presidential Inauguration Bill 2016 for the second time.

The bill calls for an act to provide for the Inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Sponsored by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, it seeks to align presidential inauguration in the country with international best practices as obtained in the United States of America (USA) and many other democracies.
