The Nigerian Senate has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to issue a proclamation for the conduct of the National population and Housing census in 2018.
The resolution was sequel to a motion sponsored by Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi (APC, Kaduna North) and four others.
The office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), the National Population Commission and Ministry for Budget and National Planning were also urged to make adequate provision in the 2017 budget for the census.
