Politics Nigeria: Senate Yet to Send 2017 Budget Passed on Thursday to Presidency

The office of the vice president has announced that the presidency is yet to receive the 2017 budget from the Nigerian National Assembly for assent.

This is according to Laolu Akande, the Spokesman for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

"In response to several media inquiries on the 2017 budget, Presidency is awaiting the document passed on Thursday by the National Assembly," he said on Saturday.

"The Buhari administration is keenly awaiting official transmission of the formal 2017 budget document & assured this will happen soon," he added.
