Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has thrown his weight behind the emergence of an Igbo presidency in the future.

He spoke during a visit by leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in Ogun state.

He explained that his stance against marginalisation was responsible for him working for the emergence of a south-south President in 2009, “but, irrespective of the thinking of the people ahead of 2019, I personally think that Southeast should have a go at the Presidency too.

He also said Ogun west senatorial district should produce the next Ogun state governor.
