Sports Nigeria vs Sudan return leg: Keshi wants the Super Eagles to play in Kaduna, not Abuja

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi is believed to be in support of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna for Nigeria's return leg of the 2015 Nations Cup qualifiers against Sudan.

Nigeria will next week host the return fixture of the qualifiers against Sudan, but is yet to decide on the venue for the game.

Since 2013,Nigeria's home games have been played at the UJ Esuene stadium in Calabar, but after the 3-2 loss to Congo last month the Sports Ministry decided to take Nigeria's home games back to the Abuja national stadium.

The Abuja stadium has been re-grassed but there are still doubts if it is now perfect to host games.

Last month,Keshi and the sports minister Tamuno Danagogo went on an inspection tour of the Abuja stadium, with the minister content for the games to be played their.

However there are reports that Keshi wants the Super Eagles to play in Kaduna which is a smaller stadium and would guarantee a huge turnout of fans, unlike in Abuja.

Keshi's first game as Super Eagles coach was played in Kaduna against Botswana, which Nigeria won by a 2-0 scoreline.
