Sports Nigeria will qualify for the Nations Cup - Amodu

New Super Eagles coach Amodu Shaibu is confident that Nigeria will still qualify for the 2015 African Nations Cup tournament.

Amodu was last week drafted in by the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) to manage the remaining two games in the qualifiers, after Stephen Keshi was laid off by the federation.

Nigeria is in a precarious situation, currently third in their group behind South Africa and Congo.

The Super Eagles needs to win their remaining two games or risk not qualifying for the Nations Cup tournament.

But Amodu believes that they can win the away match in Brazzaville, which appears to be the most important fixture at this stage.

“If Congo came here and scored three goals, nothing stops us going to Congo to score three or more goals. We have done it before. We will do it again.”
