Sports Nigeria Wins First Gold Medal at 2016 Paralympics, Sets New Record

Rolland Ezuruike on Friday won the first gold medal for Nigeria at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio.

He won the medal in the weight-lifting competition. He also set a new Paralympic record of 190kg to win gold in the men’s -54kg.

His first lift of 185kg broke the previous Paralympic record before he extended it with his second lift of 190kg.
