Despite the suspension of the 55-day-old industrial action by the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), resident doctors are yet to resume fully at their duty posts in the hospitals across the country.

This development may not be unconnected with Federal Government’s circular ordering termination of the appointment of the resident doctors while their strike was still on.

However, what appeared to be a reprieve came their way, as the National Industrial Court (NIC) on Monday restrained the Federal Government from implementing the circular ordering the sack of about 16,000 resident doctors across the country.
