Metro Nigerian Immigration Service Promotes 6,193 People

NAN – The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) announced the promotion of 6,193 officers and men to several positions in office. This announcement was made on Thursday in Abuja.

The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the PRO for the NIS, Mr. Chukwuemeka Obua.

In the statement, thirty four Deputy Controllers of Immigration have ascended to the ranks of Comptrollers of Immigration. 44 Assistant Comptrollers of Immigration have risen to the ranks of Deputy Comptrollers.

Fifty Chief Superintendents of Immigration have become Assistant Comptrollers of Immigration.

Of the total number of people who got promoted to Immigration Inspectors, 158 (all members of the JTF) were automatically promoted.

The other 5,907 officers were also promoted to various ranks.

Mr. David Parradang, the Comptroller-General of the NIS, congratulated the promoted and urged them to work harder to justify their promotion.
