Politics Nigerian Senate Adjourns Plenary Over Lawmaker's Death

Nigerian Senate on Tuesday adjourned plenary after resuming from four weeks break over the death of House of Representatives lawmaker, Bello Sani.

The senators after observing one-minute silence on the passing away of Hon. Bello Sani, a member of House of Representatives who died at the age of 51 few weeks ago adjourned to Wednesday 22nd February in honour of him.

Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan moved the motion for the adjournment.

The adjournment came immediately after Senate president, Bukola Saraki read Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo's letter on the additional nomination Mr Adeyinka Asekun as non-career ambassador designate and on the confirmation of Justice Walter Onnoghen as Chief Justice of Nigeria.
