Nigeria's Femi Anikulapo-Kuti has broken the world record of holding on the longest note on a saxophone, according to his sister Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti.

The world record was previously set in December 1997 by legendary saxophonist Kenny G when he held an E-flat for over 45 minutes. Reports say that Kenny G used a technique called Circular Breathing 'which keeps a steady stream of air flowing through the saxophone even as the player breathes.''

Femi broke the record playing for 46mins 38secs non-stop. It is unclear yet what technique he used to achieve the great feat.

Femi has been playing saxophone since he was 15 years, and has since then been prominent for it.
