According to SaharaReporters, two reliable sources at the presidential villa in Abuja have revealed that First Lady Patience Jonathan has flown out to a German hospital for treatment about a week ago.
Earlier last year, Mrs. Jonathan's had reportedly secretly seek hospitalization in Germany for a series of serious health problems.
He added that he was not aware of the First Lady's immediate ailment.
SaharaReporters said another source said Mrs. Jonathan had kept a low profile several weeks before her removal to a German hospital. "She has not been in good health for a while now," the source said.
A political source in Abuja wondered why the First Lady's medical trip to Germany is shrouded in secrecy. "Nigerians are paying for her treatment and deserve the courtesy of being informed about her movement," said the source. He added that the woman's frequent trips abroad showcased the failure of her husband's administration as well as previous regimes in Nigeria.
The sources had no idea how long Mrs. Jonathan would stay in the German hospital.
