Following the ghastly bomb explosion in Kano Central Mosque, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu wrote a letter to President Jonathan.

In the letter, the Prime Minister expressed his sympathy and said both Nigeria and Israel were facing the same challenge and asked the President to keep up the fight to defeat "these forces of evil."

Nigerians react to the letter

Phame, a contributor on Nairaland, isn't impressed at all. He says, "Save your letter and send us fighter jets. Na letter we wan chop?"

Another Nairalander, dilluminati, thinks it is all propaganda: "Where is the letter from Saudi Arabia? Oh, I forgot: Nigeria is a christian nation. Propaganda shyyt. Is netayanhu feeling guilty so his agents would go undetected for masterminding that blast? All these letters na for show. Evil people. Now I see what Jona went to do in Jeruslalem."

Another noted amusedly that the Prime Minister's signature is quite simple. The user said "Did anyone notice his signature? Big men can't shout, but insignificant peeps be signing Da Vinci Coded signatures :D"

Someone else encouraged President Jonathan to keep up the correspondence, and use it as an opportunity to take another step in the war against insurgency: "After writing the letter, what next? Is this what Jonathan gets for going to Israel for pilgrimage? Jonathan, please write them back and request for arms to fight Boko Haram."

Fr3do found it funny that Israel offered condolences, but not Saudi Arabia's.
"Why didn't the king of Saudi Arabia send his condolences? It was one of the oldest mosques in West Africa that was attacked. Even with the way Naija Muslims troop there for pilgrimage, he didn't find it necessary to send condolences."

Someone else blurted out: "Jonathan is not bothered or crying, so why are they condoling him?"

CramJones writes a letter of his own:

"Your Execellency Benyamin Netanyahu,

Thank you for your kind letter to President Jonathan and the good people of Nigeria.

Sir, while we face the same challenges, there has been a complete divergent response to the threat. Israeli's response has been strong and brutal, why Nigeria's response has been very weak and riddled with complexities of military compromise.

We pray for peace.

Shalom,

CramJones"

Someone else commented frostily, "you'll never see the APC goons commend this letter."

Another said: "Now I see why the symbol is on the new N100 note and the money thing in South Africa."

Finally, another user made an observation: "Hmmm, Nigerians, if he had no sent condolence letter you'd blast him and say that's the kind of friendship we're into. Now that he has sent one you're still complaining and going as far as accusing him of master minding the attack.

Now that he has contributed his part by sympathizing with us it is a crime. How about those that do not care whatever happens to us. When will we ever grow up and start progressing. Seriously, we are a hindrance to our progress."
