On Thursday, Northern Governors’ Forum will meet to deliberate on the memorandum submitted to it by Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako. The memo raised concerns over the spate of insecurity in Northern Nigeria and since it was made public had been subject to several public debates.

Babangida Aliyu, Chairman of the forum and Niger State Governor,on Monday announced the meeting via
his Chief Press Secretary, Danladi Ndayebo. He said, "the forum is now in receipt of Nyako’s memo and would look at the concerns raised by Admiral Nyako with a view to addressing the issues".

The governor said the forum would also meet with leaders of the Miyetti Allah Fulani Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria in order to fashion out strategies to address the disturbing state of insecurity in the region.

Meanwhile, all state governors are expected to attend a National security meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday.
