Business NSE Becomes Full Member of World Federation of Exchange

Nigeria- The Nigerian Stock Exchange has been elected a full member of the World Federation of Exchanges, the trade association for the operators of regulated financial exchanges on Tuesday in Seoul, South Korea, making Nigeria the 3rd African country to be granted full membership. The Punch reports.

The Chief Executive Officer, NSE, Mr. Oscar Onyema, was quoted as saying the Exchange’s new status was a positive step towards its integration with global financial markets and exchanges.

“We put in a lot of hard work, and we have cultivated excellence in our day-to-day operations, which has earned us this recognition among our peers in this notable trade association.”

Onyema added that the WFE membership was an important reference for many international investors.
