Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) intend to file a suit against the management of a newspaper organization over alleged unpaid salaries, to demonstrate NUJ’s obligation to the welfare of its members.
The Chairman of the union, Lagos council, Mr Deji Elumoye, on Friday called for sufficient funding to improve the lives and productivity of journalists.
He added that the organization in question, broke its promise to pay up the salaries of its staff despite a warning of a strike. Hence, The union has no choice but to take the matter to court
