Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa state may soon be out of job as the seven-man panel constituted by the acting Chief Justice of the State, Justice Ambrose Mammadi, on Monday swung into action despite the public holiday declared by the state government.
According to AIT, the Registrar of the High Court, Abubakar Babayola, had earlier told journalists that the inauguration of the committee was not a requirement for the commencement of the panel’s job as it could not be found anywhere in the constitution.
The committee held its first meeting amidst tight security at J & J Holiday Villa located at Atirwucha close in Karewa GRA of the state capital. Journalists were barred from covering the meeting.
