On Tuesday, there was a little altercation between Nigeria's Former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili and a former member of the house of representatives, Dino Melaye at the #BringBackOurGirls protest in Abuja.

According to eye witnesses, Melaye demanded to address protesters but Ezekwesili who has so far been the lone prominent figure at the #BringBackOurGirls protest turned him down rudely. Melaye's insistence led to a brief argument, in the end Ezekwesili bowed to pressure and let him have his way.

Dino reportedly stayed angry for a long time as he reportedly said he didn't like the way Ezekwesili acted authoritarian.

Also, the Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima was on ground to receive the protesters as they were allowed to march into the Borno Governor's lodge.

Addressing the crowd, Shettima is quoted saying saying, "We are living in very interesting times. I do not intend to join issues. The truth is that those girls were abducted. The decision to conduct exams in Chibok was taken with WAEC. Chibok was considered relatively safe. I have proof. People are looking for scapegoats... Some conspiracy theories come from the highest levels of governance.

"We summoned the principal and teachers an they were able to identify many of the girls in that video. There is no Governor that controls the army or any of the security apparatus. We got an alert about the impending attack. We have a robust alert system. We relayed it promptly to the authorities".

"The officers and men of the armed forces are doing their best", he concluded.
