Yesterday, there was wild jubilation at Fugar, the administrative headquarters of Etsako Central local government area of Edo State, following the sack of Chief Mike Oghiadomhe as chief of staff to President Goodluck Jonathan.

Youths, men and women danced danced around the community centre yesterday, singing jubilation songs in their local dialect and commending President Jonathan for taking such a bold decision in relieving their son of his job.

The youths even promised to gather again on Wednesday to pass a formal vote of no confidence on him.

According to one of the youth leaders, Oghiadomhe's presence in the presidency had attracted embarrassment but no federal projects to the area.

"We visited his office in Abuja to table many issues concerning our community",the youth leader recalled.

"He would promise us to come back. There are even times his secretary will tell us he is not the office and has travelled for official assignment.

"It was when we were tired of visiting Abuja and risking our lives that we settled for our fate. . You will only see him visiting the village at night and leaving very early. This is bad for our so called politicians. We even see him as stingy man who doesn't joke with money," he revealed.

A woman from the village who spoke to the press described the former Chief of Staff as a "promise and failure man".

"No meaningful development entered this community during his reign as the Chief of Staff to Mr Jonathan. Na so so empty promises we dey hear. Common empowerment programme Oga Mike know do for his village", she added.

The villagers sang praises to the late naval chief Akhigbe and urged other political office holder in the community to emulate the former naval chief while rejoicing over Oghiadomhe's sack.
