Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare on Thursday followed up her impressive performance at the World Athletics Championship in Moscow,with a good outing at the Diamond League in Zurich.
Okagbare competed in the Long Jump event,and once again finished in second position,just like she did in Moscow.
Britain’s Shara Proctor won the long jump with a 6.88m leap,while Okagbare came second with 6.76m leap.
Serbia’s Ivana Spanovic clinched the third spot,after recording a jump of 6.73m.
But America’s world champion Brittney Reese,could not replicate her performance in Moscow,finishing in seventh position with a best of 6.37.
With the performance in Zurich,Okagbare further underlined her credentials as Nigeria’s best athlete at the moment.
