Fresh crisis has emerged in the All Progressives Congress (APC ) in Ondo State following a face off between the chairman of the party in the state, Hon Isaac Kekemeke and the minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs, Professor Cladius Daramola.

The duo engaged in a rough brawl at Senator Tayo Alasoadura’s residence in Akure, at the weekend during the minister’s condolence visit to the senator who recently lost his wife.

It was the personal assistant to the Minister, Mr Nathaniel Adojutelegan ,who first reacted against the public embarrassment meted on his boss by the state chairman, leaving their supporters going for one another’s throat.

The situation further degenerated to public assault and harassment, which was promptly checked by the security operatives present.

The personal assistants to Kekemeke, Mr Dolapo Malumi and Ayo Wisdom, said the minister’s aides insulted the chairman by pushing him on the chest, saying the party will suspend him from the All Progressives Congress.

Commenting on the development, the personal assistant to the minister, Hon. Adojutelegan, however, refuted the claim by the former that he pushed the state chairman on the chest, saying, “It is a blatant lie.”

He said, Daramola after the condolence visit, “stopped outside the building to grant a short interview to press men from Adaba Radio and The Nation Newspaper.”
