Barely eight days to the inauguration of Rotimi Akeredolu as the next governor of Ondo state, residents of his hometown, Owo are already in joyous mood.
The Hope, the state-based newspaper reliably gathered that the people's joy knew no bounds as they get set for the inauguration of Akeredolu as the seventh civilian Governor of the Sunshine State. The ceremony will kick off in Akure the State capital on Thursday, February 23.
At the GRA residence of the Governor-elect, The Hope gathered that Akeredolu held several meetings with political associates and numerous well wishers before leaving for Akure yesterday.
Recall that Akeredolu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria won the state's 2016 gubernatorial elections under the paltform of the All Progressives Congress. He will take the mantra of office from Dr. Olusegun Mimiko of the PDP, who has served the state twice.
