Former Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mrs Farida Waziri has said that until all Nigerians, irrespective of their positions in the society realize the danger of corruption in the nation and join hands to fight the menace, it would be difficult to wipe it out.
Speaking to Saturday Sun as a special guest of the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris at the emirate’s Durbar (horse riding) to mark sallah celebration at the Emir ’s palace on Thursday, Waziri noted that the dimension corruption has taken shows that it is not a battle to be left for anti-graft agencies alone.
She said it was wrong for people to say that corruption is a Nigerian factor, lamenting that such imposed belief could brand Nigerians as naturally corrupt.
