Oscar Pistorius Murder Verdict: Judge Questions Witness Testimony

After five arduous months, Judge Thokozile Masipa must now make her verdict which will decide if Oscar Pistorius walks or not in his murder case.

The judge has raised serious questions about the witness accounts, especially raising skepticism about the one neighbor account upon which, it would seem, the prosecution is basing its case.

The judge reviewed the witness account in lengthy detail and people who have been watching the case so far notice that the state's case relies a bit too heavily on the witness who said Oscar and Reeva had a fight on the night the shooting was heard.

As #LATimes recounts, "If the judge acquits Pistorius of murder, she will then examine whether he is guilty of the lesser crime of a negligent killing, known in South Africa as culpable homicide.

Pistorius pleaded not guilty to murder and to three minor charges involving the alleged discharge of a gun in a restaurant and out of a car sunroof, as well as the illegal possession of ammunition.

Pistorius gained international fame when he became the first double amputee to compete in the Olympic Games in 2012. His trial, the first to be telecast live in South Africa, fascinated the country with thousands commenting daily on Twitter, some convinced of the athlete’s innocence, others arguing he was guilty."

Well, he's won the battle but not the war. He won't get time for premeditated murder, we see, but there's still culpable homicide (discretionary sentence) and possession/discharging of illegal firearms.

Tomorrow will be an interesting day :)
