The 2014 Oscar awards have been handed out at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday. The movie, 12 Years a Slave was named best picture, with Lupita Nyong’o winning the best supporting actress award and John Ridley clinching the best adapted screenplay award.

Gravity won the most Oscars (seven, dominating the craft categories). Dallas Buyers Club picked up three awards, and Matthew McConaughey took the best actor award, and Jared Leto best supporting actor.

Cate Blanchett got named the best actress for Blue Jasmine, and Alfonso Cuaron won the best director category for the film Gravity.

Ellen DeGeneres hosted the show, which was aired live on ABC.
