The Edo Governor, Adams Oshiomhole has dismissed an allegation of financial recklessness made by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He said that the allegation was as a desperate attempt to discredit the All Progressive Congress (APC) - led administration.
Oshiomhole, who described the allegation as untrue, said that if the state had such funds it would be channeled towards improving infrastructure in the state.
It would be recalled that the state chapter of the PDP, had last week, raised the alarm and alleged that the current administration recently spent more than N400 million on a trip to the U.S. The PDP alleged that the governor went on the trip with the state executive council members, traditional rulers from Edo North Senatorial zone and some aides.
