Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently meeting behind closed doors with some chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress at the Aso rock.

Those in attendance include a leader of the party; Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; the party’s National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun; President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki; Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yusuf Lasun; Senate Leader, Ali Ndume; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal; and a former interim chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, among others.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Senate President Bukola Saraki on Wednesday met behind closed-doors with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the State House in Abuja.

At the end of the meeting, the Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, attached to the Vice President Office, Babafemi Ojudu, told State House correspondents that it was a consultative meeting of select APC leaders to discuss party matters.

Ojudu, who saw some of the attendees off to their cars, asked journalists not to interview them, saying a statement would later be issued by the Office of the Vice President.

It was, however, believed that the meeting attempted to resolve the cold war between Tinubu and Saraki who had fallen out, following the latter's emergence as Senate president last year against the APC's preferred candidate, Senator Ahmad Lawan.

Party leaders meeting is always good for the party because I believe their discussion will

be on the way forward for the party and Nigerians considering the fact they are now the

ruling party.
