Politics Osinbajo To Act As President For 10 Days For the Second Time

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday said he has transmitted a letter to the National Assembly intimating the federal lawmakers of his 10-day vacation starting today.

Buhari disclosed this while speaking to journalists at the Nnamdi Azikwe International, Abuja shortly before leaving for London where he is expected to attend to his ill-health.

With the letter to the National Assembly, Vice- President Yemi Osinbajo is expected to act as President for the period Buhari will be away.

This is the second time, the President will be handing over power to the Vice president since assumption of office over a year ago for medical/vacation reasons.

In February, President Muhamamdu Buhari went on break from his official functions from 5th to February 10th, 2016.

During his absence, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo performed the functions of the president.
