There was pandemonium in Lambe area of #Akute – Ajuwon axis of Ifo Local Government area of #Ogun State yesterday when policemen from the Ogun State Command sealed off a building allegedly used as the den of armed robbers and kidnappers in the area.
Residents of the Lambe area who thronged the venue to ascertain the allegation that the building had haboured suspected ritualists, armed robbers and kidnappers, had attempted to set the building ablaze following the shocking revelation.
They were however prevented from carrying out a jungle-justice by policemen led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) from the Ajuwon Divisional Headquarters. Photo journalists and television stations’ cameramen who raced to the scene were also prevented from carrying out their statutory functions as policemen on guard, who were acting on the instructions of the DPO, threatened to deal with anyone who dare take photo shots.
