The Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP Rivers state chapter has accused Governor Rotimi Amaechi of planing to relocate the state's House of Assembly to Government House, Port Harcourt.
A statement issued by Jerry Needam, Media Adviser to PDP State Chairman, Felix Obuah, alleged that the Governor had asked members of the Assembly loyal to him to move their sittings to Government House.
The PDP condemned the move describing it as unconstitutional, illegal, criminal and a slap on the face of democracy. The party vowed to oppose the governor every step of the way.
Meanwhile, the Rivers state Government has denied the accusation tagging it a blatant lie and a figment of PDP’s wicked imagination.
