The Eagle square, venue of the PDP convention was today literarily turned into a boxing arena as Anambra delegates threw caution to the wind and decided to settle their differences with exchanges of bitter blows in front of delegates from other states.
According to Vanguard, Senator Andy Uba and his brother Chief Chris Uba, the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, and other delegates were seated at the Anambra State pavilion with their supporters when Tony Nwoye came in at 11.15am with his supporters.
This added a dangerous spark to the already charged atmosphere and all hell broke loose. In a twinkle of an eye, a fracas ensued between supporters of the two governorship candidates that emerged from separate congresses in the state last week.
The fight lasted for over thirty minutes as the Aviation Minister stormed out of the pavilion with her aides.
