According to Vanguard News, the “old” PDP held an emergency meeting attended by stakeholders of the party.

In the communiqué issued at the end of the meeting by the chairman of the party in the state, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa, the party insisted that it has implicit confidence in the leadership of the party at the national level.

According to the communique: “The party in Osun is ever formidable and as such will not support factionalisation while urging any member that has any issue with the party to follow the path of consultation rather than confrontation”.

Similarly, the communique also passed a vote of confidence on president Goodluck Jonathan and the newly elected working committee led by Alhaji Bamangar Tukur and other newly elected working committee members.
