According to PM News, the national leadership of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP on Monday dissolved the Kano State executive of the party in a move that seems to take the party structure away from Governor Musa Kwankwaso, one of the seven governors to form the New PDP.

The party subsequently constituted a caretaker committee led by Alhaji Alhassan Kafayos as chairman and Mr. Andrew Musa appointed secretary to run the affairs of the party in the State.
They were immediately sworn-in by the party’s National Legal Adviser, Mr. Victor Kwom.

Other members of the committee would be appointed in Kano during the week, said A bubakar Mustapha, the National Organising Secretary of the PDP.

Justifying the dissolution, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, the National Chairman of the PDP, said the tenure of the dissolved exco had expired on August 15 and that there was need for a caretaker committee. He added that the caretaker committee was set up in accordance to the rules and provision of PDP constitution.

All these happened on the same day the party received back into its fold Mohammed, son of the late head of state and dictator, General Sani Abacha.

Mohammed Abacha had failed in his attempt to contest for Kano governorship position under the platform of defunct Congress of Progressive Change in the last general election.

On his part, Abacha said he left the CPC as a result of what he described as lack of internal democracy in the party.

The simple truth is that PDP is making way for the son of late Head of State to contest and Govern Kano State....The only thing permanent in Politics is personal interest, all other factors must vary to accommodate the permanent interest !!!

We can't jump to a conclusion, can we? I don't think Abacha's son has enough fire power to be that big in PDP yet. Since everyone is struggling to get power, I think he Abacha's son) will have some bigger senior oppositions to contend with.
If he's going to be Kano state governor, it's not in the next 20?5 elections.

^^In addition, unless like you said, he is the chosen one by the ogas at the top@PDP- which I doubt seriously.
