Politics PDP generates N286m from Anambra governship forms sale

The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) on Monday made N286m from the sale of governorship forms to aspirants in advent of the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

The fee increased from N5m to N10m for male aspirants and female aspirants who usually did not pay for the forms were charged N5m.

One of the governorship aspirants, Mr. Sylvester Okonkwo said that although the fees was high it will help in strengthening democracy in the state.

Among those, who have picked their forms are Alexander Obiogbolu, Jerry Ugokwe, Walter Okeke, Charles Odunukwe, Chuba Ikpeazu, Eucharia Azodo, Donatus Okonkwo, Chuwuka Onyema, Onyenisi Obianuju, Kramer Ifunayachukwu, Adimachukwu Calista and Chinyere Udemba.

Others are Senator Andy Uba, former minister of Women Affairs Mrs. Josephine Anenih; a former member of the House of Representatives, Nicholas Ukachukwu and Tony Nwoye.
