Aminu Tambuwal, Speaker of the House of Representatives, on Monday said that members of the house will decide when to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in due time.
According to The Nation, a statement released by Tambuwal's Special Adviser on Media, Imam Imam, said, "MPs will decide collectively on when to defect. They have their internal process if they decide to cross carpet.
“Let us wait and see whether they can activate the process or not".
The statement included a quote of Section 68 of the 1999 Constitution which allows defection of lawmakers if there is division in any political party.
