Senator Buruji Kashamu (Ogun East) has been suspended by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The National Caretaker Committee of the PDP, announced the suspension via a tweet from the party’s official Twitter account (@OfficialPDPNig).
It said Kashamu would stay suspended for one month and didn't give reasons for the action. It is a curious decision as it is coming few hours to its national convention in Abuja.
The convention, holding in Abuja, is to elect new national leaders for the opposition party.
