Rivers State leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has appealed to the traditional ruler of Rumueme kingdom, His Highness Nyeweli Omunakwe Nsirim to call Governor Rotimi Amaechi to order and stop using state resources to pursue his personal agenda.
State PDP chairman, Chief Felix Obuah, made the appeal when he led the party’s executive on a courtesy call on the monarch at his palace yesterday.
Obuah recalled that the party collectively supported Amaechi to become governor, but lamented that rather than develop the state, he was committing state resources to sponsoring the opposition party to achieve a selfish aim.
