PDP's Gogo Tamuno has emerged winner of the Okrika Ogu/Bolo federal constituency in yesterday's Rivers state rerun election, according to a report from the Sun.

The returning officer of Okrika Ogu/ Bolo federal constituency in Rivers State has declared Gogo Tamuno of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) winner in election held on Saturday.

Okwulehie Ikechukwu, INEC REC for the constituency declared him winner around 2:20am, the report said.

He announced that Tamuno polled a total of 11,668 votes to defeat Maureen Tamuno of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who secured 5,995 votes.

He explained that he was unable to declare the result at the constituency as a result of violence.
