Metro Pick Pocket Remanded in Prison for Stealing N2,000 at Lagos Bus Stop

Kelechi Uba, a 28-year old has been remanded in prison for stealing N2,000 at Idumota Bus Stop in Lagos metropolis.

According to police prosecutor,Sgt. Daniel Ighodalo, Uba committed the crime on Nov. 20 at Idumota, Lagos.

"The accused, while standing at a bus stop, decided to steal a mobile phone and N2000 from one Precious Ojoko, who immediately felt a hand in her bag. When confronted, the accused admitted committing the crime and handed over the phone but denied stealing the money".

"The police was invited and the accused was taken to the station’’, Ighodalo said.

Uba pleaded guilty to the charge pocket-picking and theft before the court.

The case was adjourned to November 25 for sentencing. (NAN)
