The Plateau state House of Assembly, yesterday, called on the state government to immortalize the late Chief Solomon Lar who died in the U.S.

Mrs. Joyce Ramnap,(PDP), Deputy Speaker of the assembly moved the motion for the immortalization of Lar who she said championed democracy and the rule of law in his lifetime.

According to Vanguard, the motion seconded by Timothy Golu, PDP, Kanke, was endorsed by the House by unanimous vote. The Speaker, Mr. Titus Alarms, later mandated the Clerk of the Assembly to forward a communication to that effect to the executive.

Several other lawmakers also spoke on the immortalization. They described Lar as a selfless politician worthy of emulation.
