There is tension in the land as politicians prepare for the 2015 elections.

President Goodluck Jonathan said yesterday that the noisy political environment is normal.

To him, it is all about democracy.

Dr. Jonathan was speaking at the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Area 1, Abuja, where he attended the first Sunday of the year service.

His proof — the United States, with many years of democratic governance, not quite long ago also had its own tense political atmosphere.

Stressing that there is no cause for alarm, Jonathan said that his administration would continue to take steps to improve the quality of lives of Nigerians.
