The Presidency disagrees with the African Development Bank (AfDB)’s report on Nigeria’s poverty reduction efforts. Dr. Reuben Abati, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, said that the report “devoid of truth and political,” considering that the report came barely a month after Nigeria was awarded by the United Nation for its significant effort at reducing poverty in the country.
The award was presented to the country in Rome during the 38th Session of the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), a UN body.
Abati said that such a negative report from the AfDB some weeks after the FAO award was “suspicious and laced with falsehood and political’’.
