On Tuesday, President Goodluck Jonathan held a private meeting with with the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Adamu Mu'azu and some state governors elected on the party’s platform; THE SUN reported.
Those present at the meeting included Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim; Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State; Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State; Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State and Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State.
After the meeting, those in attendance refused to take questions from the press, so the agenda of the meeting up till now remains a secret.
However, an unnamed inside source claims that the meeting was part of the PDP's preparation for the forthcoming Adamawa governorship bye-election.
