Sports President Jonathan to have a private meeting with NFF president in Abuja

President Goodluck Jonathan has invited Amaju Pinnick to the presidential villa to discuss issues pertaining to the leadership tussle that has engulfed the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF).

Amaju will be at the Villa alongside the Super Falcons when the president will host the victorious Women's team for their feat in winning the African Women's Championship last Saturday.

However, Amaju is scheduled to have a private meeting with President Jonathan to discuss the lingering crises rocking the NFF.

Last week, Chris Giwa obtained a court injunction that sacked the NFF president from office, with a court ruling nullifying the elections that brought him to power.

World football body, FIFA thereafter threatened to ban Nigeria if football matters were not taken away from the law court.

Even Amaju was inexplicably stopped from travelling to Namibia last weekend for the finals of the AWC tournament.

With Jonathan going to meet Amaju tomorrow, it is expected that a truce will be reached on how to solve this crisis that has dragged on for so long.
