On Wednesday night, Governors in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the National chairman of the party, Adamu Mu'azu had a stormy meeting as both parties disagreed on the party's clampdown on endorsements. PUNCH has this story.
The meeting between the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party and governors on the party’s platform on Wednesday night ended without any resolution.
The meeting was said to have been stormy as the party leaders were put on the spot by the governors over their senatorial ambitions.
Said to be at the instance of the governors, the meeting, which held at the residence of the PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, was attended by some members of the National Working Committee of the party. Our correspondent learnt that the national leaders of the party at the meeting were not comfortable with the cacophony of voices over endorsement of governorship aspirants by the governors.
