President Ian Khama, of Botswana has explained why he is yet to congratulate US President-elect, Donald Trump on his election.
Khama’s private secretary, Brigadier George Tlhalerwa, in an interview with Mmegi news in Gaborone said, “The international norm is that you congratulate somebody after they have taken office. So the President is not in a rush.”
“Trump is like a woman who has completed the lobola stage, but is still awaiting her wedding.”
Khama has criticized Trump consistently throughout 2016.
