The Flying Antelopes crushed El-Kanemi Warriors 4-0 in their last fixture of the season, to be confirmed new Nigerian champions.

Amakapabo was short of words after the final whistle and expressed gratitude to God for their achievement.

“I thank God for this moment, for this day and for this feat,” the former Enyimba assistant coach told Completesportsnigeria.com.

“We worked hard for it, from the beginning till the end, the players, my backroom staff, management, supporters and the people of Enugu State as well as the government.

“It was a collective effort and I’m happy that what has been lacking in the rich history of this great club in the last 32 years has been restored and we’re grateful to God.”
