Nigerian Tribune is claiming claiming that contrary to court judgement, the newly sworn in Adamawa state Governor, Bala Ngillari did resign as deputy governor to impeached Governor Murtala Nyako.

Read excerpt below:

A new twist has crept into Adamawa State governorship seat tussle as fresh facts have revealed that the newly-installed governor, James Bala Ngilari, actually sent a resignation letter as deputy governor to his predecessor, Vice-Admiral Murtala Nyako, which the latter accepted.

Documents exclusively obtained by Sunday Tribune showed that Ngilari sent separate resignation letters to both Nyako and the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Ahmed Umaru Fintiri, the same day.

In the two separate letters, written on 15 July, the speaker was copied the one to Nyako, while Nyako was also copied that sent to the speaker. To show his acceptance of Ngilari’s resignation as his deputy, Nyako had on the same day, nominated a replacement for him as deputy governor. The nominated replacement was Honourable Adamu Kamale.
